Rangitoto NZ BY LAND AND SEA


  1. 600 Years Ago Rangitoto Island volcano was the youngest in NZ.
  2. Rangitoto neighbour is Motutapu.
  3. Rangitoto Island is known for its contrasting rugged lava terrain and abundant native plant life. It has the largest pōhutukawa forest in the world, and is a safe haven for endangered native birds.

    Kia ora Lorenzo,

    Thanks for sharing these interesting facts about Rangitoto. I did not know that it is the youngest volcano in New Zealand. Do you know if it is likely to erupt again any time soon? I hope not!

    Keep up the great work with your blogging, Lorenzo. You're teaching all of us things that we did not know before. It's awesome :)
